Problem Note 66883: Jobs that require memory fail with the message "FATAL: Insufficient memory to execute DATA step program. Aborted during the COMPILATION phase..."

When a job requires memory to run, SAS might supply four times the amount of memory that is being requested. If the operating system does not have that much memory available, you receive the following error message:
FATAL: Insufficient memory to execute DATA step program. Aborted during the
